A fairly easy day in better than expected weather: some sunshine, some cloud and mist, but no rain until after arriving in town. A steep climb, much of it in forest and down to a small town at 600m elevation. The trail did not get high today, only to 1600m. Sat for a while in pastures watching shepherds moving sheep.
Three of the group I’ve been hiking with finished their holiday yesterday and two more are done today. That leaves me with two people I know, Alan and Marie-Claire; neither speak English and Alan is the one who only speaks rapid French.
Tomorrow is a long day but interesting. The route passes over an famous road cut into the side of a cliff and it gets up high again.

You have birthdays? I didn’t think you aged, Happy birthday.
Green and Grey is terrific. Very dramatic.
Bon Anniversaire!
Hope you’ll be having a nice walk today on your birthday.
Look forward to seeing you later this month.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a very good day. See you in a few weeks.
Interesting view of the sheep. One forgets that France is mostly rural and very scenic. We wish you well on your birthday journey!

Lovely photos once again. I was interested to see the Patou. I realize I wouldn’t have been able to tell it was a dog in the picture with the sheep without your note.
