GR10 Pyrenees day 20, to Lac de l’Oule

One of the best days in the Pyrenees. Sunny and for much of the day away from towns and farms. The highest col of the day was at 2509m, the highest elevation on the walk. It was a long day with over 1300m of climbing, but satisfying. The night was spent in an isolated, modern, but quite empty gîte on a mountain lake. No photos of the gîte or lake as the mist rolled in early in the evening.

Here are some photos of the day, some don’t need captions.

Clear mountain lake with lots of fish. My lunch stop. Soaked my feet in the cold water.

There is a trail there, stepping from rock to rock. Good for balance.
