Fog. No photos on the trail today; you’ve seen enough cows in fog and flowers in fog. Once again, it was disorienting. Due to the fog and poor trail marking in spots, I lost my way twice. What saves me when I lose my way is a maps app on my phone that stores detailed off-line maps and works with the phone’s GPS. No wireless or wifi connection needed; you can see where you are and the maps for France are detailed enough to show many trails and tracks. “maps.me” on the Apple App Store.
The fog lifted in the afternoon coming into the town of Loudenville in the valley. Sunny while I was climbing the 400m from the valley up to Germ and the gîte. Fog returned in the evening.
