This is a private self-built website. It does not use a “free” or commercial blogging service that might collect information about you. The server is located in the EU to take advantage of the EU’s “best in class” privacy laws . The site uses services provided by Automattic.com and Mail Chimp, both located in the USA. Both can store data about you. See more below.
Cookies
This website does not use persistent cookies and does not store any information about you unless you subscribe or comment on a blog post. It does require transient cookies for navigation between posts and pages but they are erased when you leave the website.
Tracking
This website does not track you and does not share any data about you.
Comments
Comments are checked for spam using a service provided by Automattic/Akismet. In summary, Akismet stores the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as name, username, email address, and the comment itself). If you comment on a post you can agree to have a commenter cookie stored. The cookie will save you entering your name and email address every time you comment. The cookie is stored on your computer for a year but you can delete it using your web browser. You can comment without using a cookie.
Your comments are stored indefinitely on this website unless you ask us to remove them. Write to us at info@ingeandroy.ca to have a comment removed.
Subscriptions
If you subscribe to this website, your name and email address are stored using a service provided by Mail Chimp but will not be shared with others.
