It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. –Ernest Hemingway
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring. –Desmond Tutu

Ya, but I bet that neither Hemingway nor Tutu did any skydiving in Peterborough. Ain’t that right, Inge?!! ; )
May all your route be as beautiful (and as a flat!) as the area in the banner.
I have always admired Desmond Tutu. As for Hemingway, you could say much the same thing about hiking. It all comes down to available time.
Which is the reason we also like to hike!
I like your banner photo Roy, really nice composition! Almost makes me want to go for a ride…almost.
Thank you. That was in Austria two years ago. With a little cropping it fit perfectly as a header image.
